Intergrative Psychotherapist
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist with over a decade of experience working with Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating and I am passionate about the possibility of recovery.
My work is rooted in supporting clients to form a better relationship with themselves and their bodies. I bring warmth, empathy and creativity to my work with clients and believe that the most healing part of therapy is the relationship created during this process. My approach engages you in an exploration of your life on an intellectual, emotional and spiritual level and you are offered space to share difficult feelings in a safe and supportive atmosphere.

Whilst there is no such thing as a ‘typical’ therapy session, working with me is most likely to include conversation which warmly supports your exploration around your issues as well as helping you make sense of your behaviour in many aspects of your life. I’m a creative therapist, and will always look for ways in which we can work better together, challenging you to build a greater awareness of yourself, your world and your relationships. We may also use the arts to help deepen the work, or to find ways of expressing feelings through images - a process that requires no artistic ‘skill’ and which I will fully support you to try.

It should be said that I do not believe therapy to be a ‘quick fix’ - it is often long-term and requires a commitment to work between sessions. Just coming to your session once a week will not be enough to bring about change. You also may want to consider whether this is the right time for you in your life to commit fully to this process.
